The Age of Miracles

July 14, 2016 — 2 Comments

Did you know that Albert Einstein is quoted much more as a great thinker than as a physicist?

This is one of my favorites by him:

There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
– Albert Einstein

What if you could choose that; to live your life as if everything is a miracle?

What if that is actually what is true for you?

What if we’re on the verge of the age of miracles?

Come along and hear me talk about that on the beach of Santa Barbara…

What if you, my friend, are a miracle worker?

And a darn good one?

Just asking….

Dain

Have you ever had someone look at you with absolutely no judgment?

That moment, when someone actually sees you for you, all of you, and knows that nothing is, was, or ever will be wrong with you, changes everything.

Experiencing this can be one of the most caring, nurturing and even seductive experiences in the world.

There are even psychological studies that suggest it only takes four minutes of direct eye contact for strangers to fall in love.

Recently Amnesty International took this one step further. They tested the 4 min idea in a more fragile situation; the refugee crisis in Europe and the increasing xenophobia.

They asked a number of Europeans and refugees to stare into each other’s eyes for 4 minutes.

This is what happened:

See, we’ve been trained to start every new encounter by a series of judgment to determine where this person fits into our pre-defined version of reality. We’ve basically been programmed to separate.

What if that training is what is in the way for a different future of the world?

What if oneness is actually much easier than you’ve ever imagined?

What if just a few minutes of eye contact could create that space of no judgment when you can see who this person actually…be?

Would you be willing to try this out? Today?

Ask someone, maybe even someone you’re not having an easy time with, to share a gaze with you for four minutes.

No other instructions or distractions. Put a timer on, stay present and look into each other’s eyes.

Then see what changes for the both of you.

Are you dissatisfied with the status quo? With the current state of the world? Do you ever feel frustrated with what you think you can or can’t change?

If you’ve been looking to change things in your life or in the world and nothing else has worked, what if consciousness is the missing element?

So many people think that if their eyes are open they’re conscious. What if it’s so much more?

Consciousness is about getting to what actually is. It opens up the space for ease, joy and possibilities to be in any situation.

You see, consciousness is the only thing that is going to change what is going on that ails our planet.

Consciousness, not technology is the key to changing global warming.
Consciousness, not fear is what will change the separation between countries, nations and people.
Consciousness, not intelligence is what will create a sustainable planet.

Consciousness is actually the future of possibilities for us.

To a dissatisfied dreamer, consciousness is really appealing because you’re the people that are saying “I know there has to be something better than this!”

Is it time for the world, and the limited reality around you, to no longer limit how you can BE in this world? To no longer limit what WE can create as our world and as our lives?

Is now the time my beautiful friends?

You will always know ;),

PS – I recently facilitated an evening class in Vancouver where we explored the potency and the “why” of consciousness. You can get the online video replay by clicking here.

We all create something different in the world. We are all unique. That’s why every chance I get I ask people, “What if you, truly being you, are the gift, the change and the possibility this world requires?”

Meet 16 year old entrepreneur Maya Penn, who reminded me again when watching this video –  EVERYTHING you do contributes to the world in some way, even if you don’t see it or get it right away.  You, being you, creates the change you’ve always known should be possible.

By creating what she loves, Maya IS changing the world. Click HERE to watch the video below.

So my friends, what future would you like to create? As Maya says, ‘the smallest actions lead to the biggest change’.

If you’d like to start your own business – great. Or create a non-profit – awesome.

But what if all of those outward creations that get acknowledged all come from truly being you?

What if that smallest action that changes everything is your choice to be you, in every moment, of every day, no matter what the situation?

You are the future. What would you like to create?

Until next time,

Dain

The Power of Non-Polarity

February 1, 2016 — 3 Comments

Anger, rage, fury, hate, judgment, and our love of trauma and drama and separation are the greatest toxic wastes on the planet. And, it’s the toxic waste we could most easily change – if we choose to.

But ONLY if we choose to.

If we want to change the world, we need to stop our reliance on such harsh, outdated modes of beingness. Unless we start asking some different questions, we don’t have a chance to fundamentally change the way we function on this planet with each other.

So what’s the antidote to the anger, rage, fury, hate, judgment, and separation?

Consciousness, non-polarity, and the willingness to change and eliminate the separation that you believe defines you.

When I watched the video of this amazing man, Antoine Leiris, who lost his wife in the Paris attacks, I was inspired again by the power of not choosing ‘sides’, of not hating, and of not choosing anger. Instead as Antoine says, he and his 10 month-old son, choosing happiness instead of hate, is more powerful than all the world’s armies.

That is the power of non-polarity.

Watch Antoine’s reading his letter, his tribute to his wife, in the short video below.

What if something completely different is possible?

For all of us? With all of us. Together?

We no longer have to function according to the rules of this reality, because doing so has created the seemingly impossible mess we are currently in. We require something different.

Now.

Please know, it is actually a choice to not be conscious and to stay in polarity. Just as it is a choice to be conscious, to be aware and to choose the power and potency of non-polarity.

What would you like to choose?

Leading Without Followers

December 21, 2015 — 3 Comments

Would you like to see something different being created on this planet of ours?

I know I do. And I know it’s possible. What about you?

What do you know, that you’ve been pretending not to know, or denying that you know, that if you allowed yourself to know it, would change everything in our world for the greater?

Would you be willing to know it, create it, and lead your life, and this planet, to something greater?

A leader knows where they must go and is willing to go there even if nobody gets it, nobody understands it, and nobody follows.

If we’re truly going to change the face of this planet, we need to step up and have a voice.  And by voice, I don’t mean shouting from the rooftops. You may not even have to say a word. What can your very presence invite everyone around you to?

I recently spoke at an event, Wisdom Stockholm, talking about our capacity to shape the planet’s future and tools to assist in choosing it.  Click HERE or below to watch the video of my talk below.

leading-without-followers

True leaders don’t create followers. They create leaders.

Is now the time to take the lead, without expecting anyone to follow, and create what you know is possible in the world?

You can be a voice for the world. You, being you, is a contribution that can not only change someone’s world, but also change the planet.

Until next time,

Dain

Earth is Our Home

November 18, 2015 — 2 Comments

Yes, the Earth is big. Probably way bigger than any of us can imagine… Just tap into the ever-reaching mountains touching the heavens … the blue, bottomless ocean …  and the softest sand dancing with the dunes of the desert.

If there is one thing I would like you to get from this video, it is that: The Earth is big. And we all share it.

It is our home.

And yes, I only mention the Paris attacks in this video. I am not even trying to get the list right. It is too long. Too many beautiful amazing places on Earth have been hit by terrorism. Beirut, Nairobi, New York, Moscow… What occurs for one of us occurs for all of us!

It is time for change.

So I am using Paris to show you something about you. You, my friend, have a choice.

You have a choice of who you be in the face of tragedy.

You have a choice of you would like to be on this Earth.

Will you go for the trauma and drama — or will you be the possibility of something completely different?

Is now the time?

Click below to watch the video.

Be you.
