The Age of Miracles

July 14, 2016 — 2 Comments

Did you know that Albert Einstein is quoted much more as a great thinker than as a physicist?

This is one of my favorites by him:

There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
– Albert Einstein

What if you could choose that; to live your life as if everything is a miracle?

What if that is actually what is true for you?

What if we’re on the verge of the age of miracles?

Come along and hear me talk about that on the beach of Santa Barbara…

What if you, my friend, are a miracle worker?

And a darn good one?

Just asking….

Dain

Have you ever felt dissatisfied? Are you always wanting more and do you know that it’s possible?

What if that wasn’t a wrongness? What if that ache of dissatisfaction is a gift and capacity? What if that is what drives your life forward?

What if dissatisfaction is what shows up when you know there is a possibility that you could be choosing — and haven’t yet?

In South Africa, my friend Gary Douglas and I recorded a special video about the hidden gift behind the dissatisfaction…

Would you like to know more? Click on the video below!

If you start to get the greatness of you, and your dissatisfaction, things will get better not only for you, but for all of us!

What if you are the gift, the possibility and the change this world requires my friend?

Hope to see you somewhere in the world soon, 🙂

PS – Gary Douglas & I will be facilitating an evening class, Losing the Ache of Dissatisfaction, March 10th live in Paris and livestreamed online. Would you like to join us? Click HERE to sign up!

Are you your name? Are you your body? Or your job? Your gender? The family you came from? The color of your skin?

Or, are you much, much, greater than all of those definitions? Are you actually an infinite being?

We live in a world where we keep trying to define us and everyone else. Well, here’s the thing – definition always creates limitation.

Definitions and labels confine and limit us. When we judge ourselves or others based on labels, we are choosing to separate; we are choosing finiteness.

It’s our definition of us, and the ones we buy from other people, that stop us. Because it’s our definitions of us and others that lead to judgment. And judgment is the biggest killer on the planet.

As I watched this potent and moving video, I asked myself some questions:

What if we no longer chose smallness over greatness?
What would our world look like without separation, without labels, without judgment?

As Prince Ea says in the video – “When there’s division, there will be conflict.” What if by ending the division and the separation, the conflicts that are occurring all over the world could end?

I ask you my friends, what else do you know is possible here, on this planet of ours? What would you like to choose? What choices could you make today to create a world you’d like to live in?

Awhile back, I did a google hangout on “The Potency of Being Undefined”. Imagine for a moment if you had no name, no race, no past and no definitions of who, what, when, where, how and why you were supposed to be? If you no longer had to look for a definition of yourself, or others, what possibilities would be available that you haven’t yet chosen?

You see, it’s our definition of us, that we we’re not willing to go beyond, that leads to the limited path that we can walk rather than an expansive path of infinite possibilities.

Which one would you like to choose my friends? What else do you know is possible?

Until next time,

Dain

Earth is Our Home

November 18, 2015 — 2 Comments

Yes, the Earth is big. Probably way bigger than any of us can imagine… Just tap into the ever-reaching mountains touching the heavens … the blue, bottomless ocean …  and the softest sand dancing with the dunes of the desert.

If there is one thing I would like you to get from this video, it is that: The Earth is big. And we all share it.

It is our home.

And yes, I only mention the Paris attacks in this video. I am not even trying to get the list right. It is too long. Too many beautiful amazing places on Earth have been hit by terrorism. Beirut, Nairobi, New York, Moscow… What occurs for one of us occurs for all of us!

It is time for change.

So I am using Paris to show you something about you. You, my friend, have a choice.

You have a choice of who you be in the face of tragedy.

You have a choice of you would like to be on this Earth.

Will you go for the trauma and drama — or will you be the possibility of something completely different?

Is now the time?

Click below to watch the video.

Be you.

PS. I wrote an article for the Huffington Post called ‘Not on Our Watch’. If you would like to explore what Tomorrowland could truly be like, go HERE to read it.

Our brothers and sisters in Paris, we are with you. As fellow citizens of this beautiful planet…what occurs for one of us occurs for all of us.

Sometimes out of the greatest tragedy comes the greatest possibility. Sometimes it is what we require to wake ourselves from the slumber of apathy.

We don’t necessarily have a choice about everything that gets created in our world, but we do have choice in how we respond.

Would we all be willing to ask what contribution we can be to make sure this never occurs on our planet again?

Will it happen again, someplace else? Maybe. But what can we step up and be willing to be that would change our world and reality so this can no longer happen in any of our cities, states and countries around the world?

East and west are irrelevant. We ALL live on this planet together.

Now is the time for the voices of possibility and awareness to speak up. Now is the time for us to stop being silent. If you would like to see something different as your world, BE the energy of that showing up in the world.

Know that it can exist. Don’t deny it. Don’t negate it. Stop believing that it has no value. Your awareness of something different and something possible, is what has the greatest value at a time like this.

What do you know that will change the face of our planets future that you haven’t been choosing?

If we would recognize this planet as our home, what would we all choose that we are not yet choosing? And if we did choose it, what might occur that hasn’t yet been able to?

Let’s stop letting the future of our planet be in the hands of those that scream the loudest and hate the most.

Let’s take back our future and recognise we have the capacity to create a kinder, gentler, more inclusive, less judgmental, less vitriolic world.

It is within our grasp.

WE, together, can create it.

If not us, who? If not now, when?

Are you one of those people that is interested in LOTS of different things?  Maybe you’re like me and bright, shiny new things make you happy? 🙂

Have you ever jumped in the deep end of something new and found that you can swim quite well?  But then maybe later (often pretty quickly), you get bored. It’s not challenging anymore. It’s not fun.  You’re ready to move on, yet you make yourself wrong for not being able to commit, not sticking with something, and not finding your ‘purpose’ in life.

What if you didn’t have to make yourself wrong anymore? What if this ‘wrongness’ is actually a strongness?

In our culture, we’ve been told that you should feel like a failure if you don’t find your purpose – a jack of all trades and master of none.  This idea – that you have to find your destiny and your one true calling, and if you don’t figure it out, you have somehow failed or are terribly wrong…does that make you feel light or heavy?

What’s true always makes you feel lighter.  A lie always makes you feel heavier.

I have a question for you my friends – what if you are a master of all trades and a jack of none? What if you’re more brilliant and gifted than you’ve ever acknowledged? Does that make you feel lighter or heavier?

What if you didn’t have to choose just one thing? What if you didn’t have to limit your menu of choice at all?

What if instead, one of your greatest gifts, was the capacity to learn new things, to adapt, and to be able to choose anything and everything you would like to?

As I watched this amazing TED Talk about ‘multipotentialites’ (a great term created by Emilie Wapnick), I was reminded once again of the brilliance that each of us has by continuing to choose, seek, and explore more of what is possible.

Welcome to the world of infinite possibilities my friends!

Kid Embarks on a Mission

September 17, 2015 — 6 Comments

What if, no matter what the circumstances of your life have been up to this point, you can choose to create beyond them?

What if limitation is just a lie? And what if when we stop identifying ourselves by our story, we can create the magic and possibilities in this world that we are all capable of?

When I watched this video of Jaden, an orphan and remarkable 6 year old little boy, embarking on a mission to make other people smile, I was reminded of our incredible capacity for kindness and caring. I was also reminded of our ability to choose beyond limitation and the seeming miracles that get created when we are just being us.

Despite having lost both of his parents, Jaden was tired of seeing people unhappy in this world. So he made a plan, and set off on an adventure to make more people smile with absolutely no expectations.

Watch the video HERE and see the sheer joy created in so many people’s worlds by his phenomenal generosity of spirit.

What capacity and potency do you have, just by being you, that you’ve been refusing to acknowledge?

What limitation have you bought as real, that if you chose beyond it, you could create something totally different in your life?

Is now the time to embark on your adventure? What happiness may await you on the other side?

And what if you, being you, are the gift, the possibility, and the change this world requires?

Until next time beautifuls,

Dain
